Lets get started. June 24, 2010

We sure has got lots of time to catch up on.  Mom has been hoggin the puter so we couldn't post anything.  So lets see we posted a month and a half a go and since then we did lots of things so we are gonna post small posts instead of one big post.

Well we didna have to stay in dat cage to long and mama let us stay out.  We really try to be good and not make any messes and we do pretty good but we gotta tell ya, all day is a long time and there is only so many things we can do to stay good.  We take lots of naps and drive Miss Ripley nuts with a captal N.  She is not here anymore and momma says she has gone to heaben, but we will tell you about that later.

This hot day in June was a lot like the others and we got bored so we decided we would take a nap and dream for awhile.   Well that dream sure seemed real enough to us.  We decided to take a look around the neighborhood and see what was here.  Mom takes us for walks, but we only get to go on da road and we want to see what was up those roads we pass when we go.  We decided that we would start with the house next door.  We hear a dog barking over there all the time, but he doesn't come see us.  Well since the door was closed and locked and we couldn't get out that way we decided that since it was our dream we would just fly out the window and go see what was going on next door.  We decided we would just drop down in the bushes and check the place out.  We didn't see anyone so we figured it was OK.   WRONG!!!  The minute we stepped out of the bushes this monster was on us.  He was bigger than Missy and had really big teeth.  He wanted to know just what the heck we thought we was doing in his yard.  Well I tell ya we was shaking all over and so we decided we would get brave and we told him we just wanted to get to know everyone in the neighborhood cause we was new around here.  So he introduced himself and said he name was Ben.  He told us he was a German Shepard.  We told him our names and that we were dachshunds.  He thought it was cool that we all came from Germany to begin with.  Ben asked if we wanted to see his yard and so he took us to see this big pond and he told us it was a swimming pool.

Now a few weeks ago we made a friend, Lilly, a golden retriever, who told us she had a pool to, but we haven't got to go see it yet.

Anyway back to Ben.  Well by this time we are feeling pretty confident that Ben wasn't gonna eat us or anything  when out of nowhere comes this black thing across the yard.  Ben barked and it took off the other way.  He told us it was the wild cat that lives in our yard.  It just comes to his house to eat.  All we saw was a black thing flying across the yard.  Well we finished checking out Ben's yard and told him it was nice meeting ya and we decided it was time to go home again.  That was a lot for our first time out on our own, even if it was just in our dreams.

We are almost 5 months old and we just want to know about everything so follow along.

Our Introduction

Hi eveybody we are Kelsey and Duncan.  We are black & tan longhaired dachshunds and are brothers.  Born on January 26 (boy it was a cold day) we are now almost 5 months old.  Our forever Mom & Dad came to North Carolina to pick us up from our first Mommy and brought us all da way to New Hampshire.  It sure was a long ride.

First they took us to our human brothers in NC to meet them.  Boy we gotta tell ya they had two big scary dogs that we only saw through the back door cause they said we would get hurt.  From dere we went to a place called Lancaster, PA.  We was in the camp ground and every one just loved us.  So many people wanted to keep us that Mom locked us in the camper and only took us out to visit.

We finally made it to our new home in New Hampshire after 5 days.  It is pretty nice here except we have to be in a cage when Mom & Dad go to work, but it is not for long cause Mom comes and lets us out at lunch time.  Dad only works 3 days a week so it only happens on those days.  Mom's friend asked her why we don't go outside while she works.  Mom said no way were her fur kids going to be left outside no matter what.  Boy am I glad of dat.

We are learning to use the puter so we can do all this ourselves.  That way we don't get bored when we are alone.  We will tell you about our adventures while Mom is working and about our trips in da camper. Some of our adventures will only be in our dreams, but they will be real to us.  So come and visit often cause we are busy boys.
